Children in Transition Rooks enjoyed a fun afternoon pond dipping at our peaceful and very tranquil school pond. As part of their topic – All Creatures Great and Small – the children observed the wonderful wildlife surrounding the pond including butterflies and dragonflies. They were excited to dip their nets into the water to discover what creatures were living beneath the waterlilies, reeds and plant life. As a result, the children found quite a variety of water snails, nymphs and a lot of pond weed but sadly no tadpoles, newts, frogs or fish. They will have to come back another day!
