Book lovers are celebrating their favourite stories this week as World Book Day has come around again! World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
Yesterday, our pupils all dressed up as their favourite book characters, and we had some very impressive costumes. From Harry Potter to Horrid Henry, and Matilda to Mary Poppins, everyone looked fantastic and raised money for a great cause.
