The House Captains – Annabel (Beech), Sienna (Willow), Leila (Chestnut) and Gemma (Oak) visited reception classes on Wednesday 29th September, 2021 taking with them an array of reading books that they had selected from the library. Before they commenced reading, they took the time to explain to the children which colour each house was represented by. They told them how every child was part of a house and that they could gain house points for their house in many different ways. This could be awarded for good manners, good work and being a kind and thoughtful member of the class
Miss Gowland, Miss Smith and Miss Marks were delighted that their children enjoyed the stories that the House Captains read to their groups. The children were engaged and asked many interesting questions. They also voted on their favourite book, which the Captains read to them again. What a lovely way to end the day.
