We are all very much looking forward to celebrating the forthcoming Coronation of King Charles III. In order to mark this special occasion, class teachers have planned some special activities for their classes to participate in during the week beginning 2 May 2023.
In addition to class activities, we have the following celebrations planned:
- Children may come to school dressed as a king or queen for the day, or come to school dressed in red, white and blue – Friday 5th May 2023.
- A special rendition of the National Anthem played by our school orchestra.
- All children will receive a commemorative coronation badge, kindly provided for by FOCHS.
- Special picnic lunch.
- A ‘Coronation Cookie’ competition run by our wonderful kitchen team, please see the information and template attached for further details.
- A historical fiction competition with the theme of ‘Coronation’, please see the information attached for more information.
- Photography and art competitions. Information posted on Seesaw.
