The Year of the Dragon in 2024 is associated with the element of Wood. The combination of the animal sign (Dragon) and the element (Wood) designates the year as the Year of the Wood Dragon. The Lunar New Year will begin on 10 February in 2024.
Vikki and her team have decorated the hall to commemorate the beginning of the new year in the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. The children in the KS1 Art club have also enjoyed decorating their own Chinese lanterns and they have been displayed in the library for everyone to admire.
