Year 1 has been greatly inspired by their topic of the seaside in their art lessons.
They have been busy making rock pools and lighthouses.
The rock pools were created within cardboard bowls, where the children blended paints to create the sea. They also used natural shells for texture and added cellophane seaweed and handmade sea creatures to complete their rock pools. They were very proud of their creations.
The lighthouses showcased their painting and observation skills. The children carefully cut and designed the bodies of the lighthouses, replicating those found along the coastline.
