2N visit Colchester Zoo

Y2 have been studying Africa and African animals. To help bring this topic alive, they visited Colchester Zoo on Friday 21st June. There they saw their favourite African animals eating, resting, climbing. The biggest shock was how big they all were! The hot weather helped us to appreciate the type of environment these animals live in when in the wild.

Colchester Zoo is huge and has many different habitats to investigate. Mrs Newbigging measured 17,000 steps for that trip – no wonder we were all to tired! Well done Y2!
