Year 2 had a fantastic History workshop, learning all about famous people from our local area.
Historical legends like notorious highwayman Dick Turpin who grew up in Essex. The conservationist Thomas Willingale who was instrumental in the preservation of Epping forest and has a road and a school named after him in Loughton. As well as the artist Walter Spradbury whose work can be seen around Epping Forest today.
The children have learned that people can be famous for very different things!
