In Maths, Reception Gowland have been learning to recognise numbers of personal significance, and to recognise numbers 1-10. The children enjoyed making a birthday cake with modelling clay and adding the correct number of candles (straws) for their age. They also painted an engine for a train by writing the correct number and stamping the number of blocks. Then to make the train they positioned themselves in the correct order based on the number they were given. Great work Reception!
