The children gathered in the hall for our Celebration Assembly, where we recognize the achievements they have made both outside and within school.
We were all excited to learn that Violet (2H) received a rosette for winning a competition on her horse “Pow,” Grayson (1V) earned medals at the football tournament he participated in this weekend, and Tommy (3B) swam 10 lengths of the swimming pool to gain his certificate. We also learned that Poppy (6B) achieved a grade for her saxophone playing. Everyone listened attentively and were delighted to applaud their resilience and dedication.
Our “Scientists of the Week” proudly stood and shared how they earned their certificates, as did the children who were voted “Star of the Week” for being so supportive of their classmates. Merit certificates, given by the teachers for work and attitude toward learning, were also awarded. Mrs. Doherty was very pleased that Years 5 and 6 received whole class merits for their exemplary behavior and willingness to experience new things during their school journeys. She was delighted that they represented themselves and the school positively.
