Year 3 travelled back in time to the 1940s to experience a day out in wartime Britain.
The children dressed up in role as evacuees and listened to and took part in a variety of exciting events. These included taking cover in a communal shelter during an air-raid, visiting a war-time shop and experiencing the journey of an evacuee from leaving their home to meeting their new ‘host’ family.
Luckily, they all had their gas masks and name labels so were well prepared for the day’s experience!
