Academic Subjects
The senior curriculum is differentiated and challenging. We aim for a collaborative partnership between teachers and pupils so that the pupils are able to talk about their learning, take initiative and progress towards success.
Our smaller class sizes and more individual attention are highly valued by pupils and parents. Our staff offer extra lessons as the examination period draws closer.
We make the most of our location and take learning outside the classroom into the environment for subjects such as Art, Drama, Science and Geography. There are a number of curriculum-related trips that take place each term as we are keen for our pupils to have a rounded and rewarding experience of learning.
We also offer residential trips. These may include languages trips to France or Spain or History trips to the WW1 battlefield.
Our aim is to provide stretch and challenge and we offer enrichment opportunities to pupils, which enable them to make swift progress and to deepen their learning.
