At Coopersale Hall School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing for our whole school community. We recognise that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable at times, and may need additional emotional support. Our aim as a school is to ensure that our pupils are supported, and are able to access help when they need it.
On this page, you will find a variety of services that offer support.
What we do
We teach all pupils from a young age the importance of mental health through a series of PHSE lessons. The scheme enables us to teach about mental health within the curriculum.
Our staff are well equipped to assist and look out for the mental health and wellbeing of our pupils.

The Listening Ear
Mrs Doherty has been talking to the children, in assembly, about a new school initiative, The Listening Ear. We are very lucky to have several members of staff across the school who are trained Mental Health First Aiders and they will be available at certain break and lunch times to meet with any children who may have worries or concerns they’d like to speak about. If the children would like a chat with one of our Listening Ears, they can fill in a slip in class and place it in our special new post box. If you would like any further information, please do contact Mrs Doherty and she’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.
